The SAB HF and SAB 163HM Mk1 are long time out of production. Replacement by mk2 compressor block and higher is not easy , due to the change by the newer models in the suction port.
For users of the Sabroe SAB 163 HM of Sab 163 HF is their a solution to purchase new compressor blocks identical to the existing one.
The capacity indication can be by these new compressor blocks :
- With dial only
- With Linear postion indicator like the most screw compressor today out put 4-20 mA
- on request with the turning system of the MK1
The first SAB 163 MK1 was suited with cone Timken bearings – the Next generation of the SAB 163 MK1 was with SFK bearings .

The compressor SAB163MK2 is like the MK1 easy to modify to male of Female driven. In this case the SAB163HF ( Female driven ) is modified in to a Male driven. The unit was used on VSD control- 1500-3600. SAB163HF compressor are not allowed to be driven by 3600 , due to the max. internal speed of the rotors .
The rotatune version is allowed to 6000 rpm , this model is not suited with a slide valve.
